Stephen Scott Gibson, age 54 of Maryville, TN, died Thursday afternoon, May 17, 2012, at his residence of a prolonged illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Darwin and Carlene Young Gibson of Meta, KY; brothers, Jeffrey L. Gibson, Gerald R. Gibson of Maryville; sister, Darlene Moody of Alcoa, TN. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Renee Arwood Gibson; two daughters, Shannon Rose Gibson and fiancee David Smith and Kelly Ann Gibson both of Maryville; one son, Jake Bailey and fianc Melissa Jean Matsey of Maryville; one granddaughter, Brooklyn Ann Smith of Maryville; 3 step granddaughters; 4 brothers, Benton James Gibson of Lapeer, MI, Robert Lloyd Gibson and wife Lisa Renee of Sweetwater, TN, Dennis Eric Gibson and wife Diane Renee of Maryville, Christopher Curtis Gibson of Madisonville; sister, Jennifer Elsie Atkins and husband Gary of Madisonville; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
