Teresa Sue Kerr, 73, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Born and raised in Cleveland, Tennessee, Teresa graduated from Cleveland High School and was an active member of Bowman Hills Church.
Alongside her brother Roger Howard, Teresa owned and operated the Plaza Flower Basket, where their creative designs and dedication made them among the area’s most sought-after floral and event planners. After re-marrying and moving to Blount County, Teresa quickly established herself as one of the region’s top designers, known for her artistry, attention to detail, and warm personal touch.
Teresa loved to travel and experience life to the fullest. She served on the Board of Directors for the Knoxville Ski & Outing Club, participating in numerous ski trips across the western U.S. and enjoying international adventures each year. She found joy in the simple pleasures too—feeling sand between her toes, relaxing at the lake, and spending time with friends.
Later in life, Teresa discovered a love for karaoke and developed a natural talent for entertaining on stage. Her vibrant personality and joyful spirit made her the heart of any gathering. She had fun wherever she went, yet always took time to listen and share in the lives of others.
Sailing and cruising were among her greatest passions, perfectly reflecting her love of adventure, freedom, and connection.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mabel Howard; her brothers, John, Donald, and Roger Howard; and her sister, Nora Mae Howard.
She is survived by her loving husband, David Kerr; sister, Betty Stinnett; sons, Phillip Strickland and Ben Strickland; and her cherished grandchildren, Chloe Strickland and Harper Strickland.
