Teresa (Teri) Jones McDonald

September 10, 1960 — June 2, 2026

Maryville, TN

Teresa (Teri) Jones McDonald, 65, was lovingly embraced in the arms of Jesus as she "fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith" on June 2, 2026, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Born to Ralph and Bobbie Jones on September 10, 1960, in Seattle, Washington. Teri was a beacon of strength, determination and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Bobbie Jones. Teri leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her husband and the love of her life, Ronald McDonald, son, Dr. Jacob A. Robbins, DO (Major USAFR) (Ashley), grandchildren, Addison and Patton, and daughter, Jenny Li Jarvis. Her brother, Scott Jones (Jennifer), nieces, Grace Jones and Lillie Braswell (Tanner), brother-in-law, Donald McDonald (Debbie), sister-in-law, Suzanne Phillips (Mike), lifelong best friends, Lisa Cook and Karen Hobby, and several cousins also survive her.

Teri was a dedicated healthcare professional. As a Registered Nurse, her compassion and expertise were evident in her roles as a Med/Surg and ER nurse at Blount Memorial Hospital, and later, as a school nurse at Coulter Grove Intermediate School. Her career was marked by a calm, confident demeanor and an unwavering commitment to her patients.

Teri enjoyed an active, fulfilling life. She loved spending time with her grandson Patton and her granddaughter Addi, and her interests spanned gardening, decorating, thrifting, bicycling, and hiking. She cherished moments spent on the lake, where she was an avid water skier. Above all, the joy of her life was her family and her friends, whom she held dear.

Teri was a soft-spoken, independent woman who empowered those around her with her strength and resilience. She was an advocate most of all. From empowering her son to chase his dreams, searching the world over for her daughter, serving on multiple medical mission’s trips to help those in need, empowering single mothers to rise to their calling and know their worth, and showing up every single time for her friends and family. Teri had a talent of recognizing a need and stepping up to use her gifts of encouragement, empowerment and service to help. Blount County has lost a giant, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched with her love and kindness.

Proverbs 31:25-31 She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom. and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done and let her works bring her praise at the city gate."

A receiving of friends will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 2-4:00 PM at McCammon Ammons Click Funeral Home, with a service to follow. As we gather to honor Teri's life, we will remember her as a beacon of inspiration, a pillar of strength, and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her memory will forever remind us of the power of determination, the beauty of independence, and the importance of family and friends.
