Travis Burton McCollum, age 49 of Greenback went to be with our Lord and Savior on January 29, 2022. He attended Immanuel Baptist Church. He attended Greenback High School and excelled at Basketball, Football, and Baseball. He loved to hunt and fish and was passionate about the Greenback Cherokees and the Tennessee Vols. Travis never met a stranger, whether he had met you before or not, you were already a good friend to him. He would lend a helping hand to anyone that needed help, whether it was labor work, or money he would give you his last dime. He loved his family beyond measure and was so loved and adored by his daughter, Samantha McCollum, his son, Trevor McCollum, and his only niece, Jayln Bowen. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ellis N. Evans, Jr.; grandparents, Milum and Unave McCollum; uncle, Ronnie Evans; aunt, Ramona Evans.
He is survived by his parents, Ed and Faye McCollum; sister, Trina McCollum and her daughter, his niece, Jayln Bowen; daughter, Samantha McCollum; son, Trevor McCollum; fiance', Michelle Plemons; grandchildren, Rilee Belcher, Alaya Brewer; his loving grandmother, Geneva Evans; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 4th from 5:00-7:00 PM at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, with the funeral service at 7:00 PM. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 AM. Saturday, February 5th at Oakland Methodist Church Cemetery, Trigonia Rd. for a graveside service.
