Velma L. Long

LONG, Velma L., age 87 of Maryville, who formerly lived at Wellington Place, died Thursday, November 15, 2001, at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. She was a member of Pecks Memorial United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Homer R. Long. Survivors include: children, Charles and Virginia Long of Griffin, GA, Lila and Richard Whitt of Venice, FL, Norma and Ronald Porter of Maryville and Jerry and Katie Long of Tyrone, GA; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Grandview Cemetery with Rev. John Thierbach officiating.
