Virginia Ruth Headrick Waters

Virginia Ruth Headrick Waters, age 90, born August 27, 1935, in Maryville, TN, went to be with her Lord and savior on January 21, 2026. Virginia was a dedicated 84-year member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Wells” Waters; daughter, Alice Louise Waters; parents, Harvey and Irene Headrick; brothers and sister-in-laws, Wayne and Rosemary Headrick, Don and Phyliss Headrick; brothers, Ray and John Headrick.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Scott Emert; son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Salena Waters; granddaughter and husband, Danielle and Bryce Byerley; granddaughter, Olivia Emert; brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Mary Ann Headrick of Palmetto, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Ervil and Myra Headrick of Maryville TN; sister, Debbie Branton of Maryville, TN; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Friday, January 30, 2026, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and the service will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Greg Long officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church kitchen fund or Mission Fund.
