Walter Allen Russell

Russell, Walter Allen age 88 of Maryville died Monday, April 10, 2006, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a 50 Year member and Deacon of Four Mile Baptist Church and retired from ALCOA with 43 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janie E. Howard Russell; parents, David and Mary Crisp Russell; brothers, Howard Lee Russell, Archie Lee Russell; sisters, Bonnie Russell, Betty Rhyne. Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Lavern Prince, Dorothy and Leon Kirkland all of Maryville; grandchildren, Amy and husband Allen Woods, Stacy and wife Mandy Prince, Kimberly Russell, Kevin Kirkland, Russell Kirkland, Beverly and husband Mark Russell; great grandchildren, Sarah Kate Russell, Taylor Kirkland, Logan Matthews, Kayla Kirkland, Mickey Kirkland, Jacob Woods, Samanda Prince; sisters, Edith Walker of Nashville, Ole Mae Crye of Maryville, Frances Norton of Alcoa; special friend, Iva Jean Stroud of Maryville. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim “Tater” Wells and Rev. Alvin Patton officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Bakers Creek Cemetery for the interment service.
