William ''Bill' Dooley Pierce

William “Bill” Dooley” Pierce age 78 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Life Care of Greeneville. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean War and in Saudi Arabia. He attended Meadowbrook Christian Church. Preceded in death by parents, W.S. and Ruby Pierce; son, Steven S. Pierce; half-brothers, Ambrose, Gene, and James; half twin sisters, Ada and Etta. Survivors include: wife, Elizabeth Pierce; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Tommie Pierce of Sweetwater; grandsons, Benjamin, William, James, and Brandon Pierce; sister, Doris Howard; half sisters, Billie and Lillian. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. Jerry Allison and Rev. Ron Sunderland officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment. The family will receive friends 6:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, 982-6712.
