William "Bill" Jennings Hall

William “Bill” Jennings Hall II, died on September 26, 2024 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Bill is preceded in death by his father, William Jennings Hall Sr. and is survived by his wife, Wendy Hall of Louisville, TN; mother, Maria Hall;  sister, Babetta Pryor of Panama City, FL; daughter, Jennifer Dotson and grandson Javontay Clyde; son, Billy Hall; step-daughters, Christa Benetto and husband Joe, Jennifer Tipton and husband, Jeff; niece, Amy Merrino and husband John; great nephew, Aiden;  nephew, Michael Denton and wife, Nicole. Born in Lorraine, OH, Bill lived in Tennessee for most of his life. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and served in the U.S. Air Force. Bill retired from Blount Memorial Hospital after working in BioMed for 30 years. He was a Charter Member of Blount British Car Club and had an infinite love of classic British cars. Bill and Wendy enjoyed competitive ballroom dancing and taking road trips together. Bill was a member of Friendsville First Baptist Church, 403 N Farnum St, Friendsville, TN 37737, where visitation of friends will be hosted on Saturday, October 5th, from 1-3pm with funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. Family and friends will meet Monday, October 7th, at 2pm at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920 for interment. Bill’s family extends their gratitude to the staff of Transitional Care Center at Morning View Village for their compassionate care. Flowers may be sent to Friendsville First Baptist Church, 403 N Farnum St, Friendsville, TN 37737. If preferred, a memorial may be sent to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
