William F. "Bill" Lane

William F. “Bill” Lane, age 81, passed away September 2, 2024, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a lifelong citizen of Maryville. He was a 1961 graduate of Maryville High School, and he really enjoyed keeping in touch with his classmates. He graduated from ETSU with a degree in Business Administration.  He spent his career in Healthcare Administration. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Vietnam and very proud of his service. He was a member of New Providence Presbyterian Church, a member of Maryville Kiwanis and volunteered with the Food Pantry. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 31 years, Patricia Brickey whom he married in 1966; parents, Linton and Helen Lobetti Lane.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Lane; sons, Brickey Lane of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Michael (Jennifer) Lane; stepchildren, Nicole (Royce) Curtis, Paula Franz, Daniel (Christy) Lunsford; 10 grandchildren; sister, Linda Lane (Dave) Gordon; nephew, Lane Gordon; niece, Meg (Joseph) Jones; one great-nephew; three great-nieces.
