William Otis ''Bill'' Cummings

William Otis “Bill” Cummings, age 80 of Seymour, formerly of Maryville, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2010, at home after a brief illness. Bill was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Germany from 1946-1952. He also served as a Veteran Honor Guard. Bill was always known for his kindness. Preceded in death by parents, William B. and Dicie Cummings; 5 sisters; 3 brothers. Survived by one brother, Tom Cummings; loving friend and care giver, Lexie Weaver; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Franklin officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the TN Veterans Cemetery, Lyons View Pike, Knoxville, for the interment service with full Honor Guard.
