William Roger "Pops" Burchett

William Roger “Pops” Burchett, born March 23, 1958, was reunited with his beloved Pat on November 25, 2022. Roger retired after 44 years as a diesel truck mechanic for the City of Knoxville and KUB in 2020. He was a veteran of the USAF. He is preceded in death by his best friend and wife, Patricia (Johnston); mother, Dorothy (Williams) and father, Billy Joe Burchett. 

He is survived by his daughter and “Daddy’s girl”, Tracie Beeler and stepson, Jason Johnston; grandchildren, Jareth, Gryffin, and Harlie Beeler, and Thomas Johnston; great-grandchildren, Jinx and Serenity Johnston; sister, Susan French; brother, Todd Burchett; nephews, Josh Burchett and Mason Brabston. 

 A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:30 PM, Sunday, December 4th, 2022, at Friendsville First Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Gowder officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Samaritan’s Purse in his memory.
