Willie Ruth Dixon Hudson

Willie Ruth Dixon Hudson, age 94 of Greenback, passed away Monday, March 14, 2011, at Colonial Hills Nursing Home. She was a member of Greenback First Presbyterian Church, was a graduate of Ft. Sanders School of Nursing in 1940 and worked for Dr’s. Richard and Mildred Alexander from 1957- to 1976. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Jacob George “Shag” Hudson; parents, James Archie and Ersie Mills Dixon; sisters, Ella Marie Hammontree and Mable Hudson. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Judy Hudson; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Johnny Powell all of Maryville; grandchildren, Scott Powell and wife Tammy, Eric Powell, Kelly Tiller and husband Todd all of Maryville, Leigh Black and husband David of Louisville, Kent Hudson of Maryville; great grandchildren, Jacob Powell, Ella and Betsy Tiller, Elijah Black, Josiah George Black, Reagan Hudson; sister, Hazel Hammontree; brother-in-law, Howard Hudson. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home and then proceed to Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a 2:30 p.m. graveside service with Rev.
