Yvonne Caylor Johnson

Yvonne Caylor Johnson, age 86 passed peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior on Friday, May 2, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of steadfast faith and enduring grace. She was a woman who lived fully and faithfully, with a quiet strength that inspired those around her. No matter what life brought, she held fast to the belief that God was good. Her laugh was the kind you couldn't help but join in with. Yvonne was creative, talented in music and always ready to lift hearts through song or a beautifully played melody. She had a flair for fashion, a sharp sense of humor, and she was never afraid to speak her mind. Yvonne knew how to bring joy, how to have fun, and how to hold onto faith in every season.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleamon Johnson, and her son, Brian. We take comfort knowing there was a reunion in Heaven, and that she is now surrounded by the ones she loved so deeply. She is survived by her two daughters, Renee Bowerman (Jeff) and Rebekah Porter, who carry on her legacy of perseverance and love. Grandsons, Cody Bowerman and Evan Porter (Celeste) were blessed by her prayers, her presence, and her support; special nieces and nephews.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the compassionate nurses, caregivers, and volunteers of Sacred Heart Hospice House and the University of Tennessee Hospice. We are especially grateful to Christi Mueller, a devoted family friend and caregiver, as well as to Danna Edington and Cathy Jones, whose dedicated care, compassion, and support meant so much during this journey.

Family and friends will gather at 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Grandview Cemetery Pavilion for the graveside service and entombment with Rev. Roger Hurst officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Sacred Ground Hospice House, 1120 Dry Gap Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918.
