Zelda Florene Whitehead Hitson,87 of Maryville an Angel on earth to so many. A Child of God. Gained her Heavenly wings Friday December 15,2023. Preceded in death by son, James Mark Hitson; parents Annie and Andy Whitehead; siblings, Archie, Lloyd (Marie), Lester (Evelyn), Chet (Reva), Homer (Betty), Ollie Lee, Betrice (Frank), Louise (Marv), Peggy.
Survived by husband, Rev James Hitson; daughter, Lea Ann Nichols (Michael); grandchildren, Christian McCall (Kristen) Baby, Brittany Hitson, Caden McCall; special friends, Ann Parker, Christina Hitson; Baby Brother Arnold “Bud” Whitehead (Faye); several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 PM, Thursday, December 21st at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home and the service at 2:00 PM with Bishop James Swagner officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Old Piney Cemetery.
